Roof Paint

Ensure surfaces are free from loose and flaking paint. Wash surfaces with a suitable cleaner such as Procoat Roof Clean prior to painting to remove any oil, grease, dirt or other contaminants. Where there are areas of moss and mould, treat with a Procoat Roof Clean.

If the roof is used for the collection of drinking water, prior to prepping and painting disconnect all water downpipes and leave disconnected until after the first heavy rainfall.

Stir thoroughly before use with a broad flat paddle, using an up and down scooping motion.

Prime any bare areas with a suitable primer (see data sheet).

Apply 2-3 coats of Procoat Roof Paint, allowing 2 hours between coats.

Note: some roofs may require additional preparation. Consult the data sheet and your local paint specialist before painting.

We recommend washing every 12 months (after each winter is a great time) with a suitable cleaner such as Procoat Roof Clean to remove dirt deposits. Dirt, salt and bird deposits left on the surface will encourage the growth of mould and affect the paints performance.

Aalto guarantee that Procoat Roof Paint will not blister, peel, or flake for 15 years provided it is applied and maintained as per label and technical data sheet instructions. This guarantee does not cover paint failure caused by any breakdown of previous coatings or substrates, or from mechanical damage.

If Procoat Roof Paint does not perform to this guarantee, Aalto will provide paint free of charge to rectify the affected area/s.
